Niall Bevan
M.I.S.C.P. BSc Physiology, MSc Physiotherapy (pre-reg), MSc Sports Physiotherapy
Niall completed an undergraduate degree in Physiology in TCD and then went on to study physiotherapy at King’s College London graduating in 2006. Niall completed an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in UCD in 2012. Niall spent 5 years working in the HSE in St. Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown and Naas General Hospital in Kildare.
Niall has been working at Dun Laoghaire Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic since 2010 and is now the lead physio in the practice. Niall has a special interest in sports injuries, orthotic prescription, whiplash and headache treatment. Niall has specialised in ‘dry needling’ for the treatment of pain and dysfunction. Working as part of the GP practice Niall’s experience of all manner of aches and pains is wide ranging and all treatments offered are tailored to suit the individual, whether an elite athlete or not!
Niall is a registered member of the I.S.C.P and of the C.P.S.E.M (Chartered Physios in Sports and Exercise Medicine) and C.P.M.T (Chartered Physios in Manual Therapy) clinical interest groups.
Niall spent 4 years working with Trinity College Rugby and 7 years working closely with the Gonzaga College & CBC Monkstown Senior and Junior Cup squads.

Sarah Bevan
M.I.S.C.P. BSc Sports Science, MSc Physiotherapy (pre-reg)
Sarah completed an undergraduate degree in Sports Science at the University of Birmingham and then studied physiotherapy at King’s College London graduating in 2006. Since qualifying Sarah has worked in the NHS, HSE, and as a private practitioner. Sarah established Dun Laoghaire Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 2008 prior to taking a break to have her 3 children, and work as a Chartered Physiotherapist in Women’s Health in the Coombe Womens and Infants University Hospital. Sarah has since moved back into fulltime private practice at Dun Laoghaire Physiotherapy.
Sarah has a special interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy including the assessment and management of pelvic girdle pain (PGP), pelvic floor dysfunction, Incontinence, Prolapse, and Rectus Diastasis (DRAM). She works with women through pregnancy and afterwards through the life span. Sarah helped bring education to other Physiotherapists with an interest in Women’s Health as the Education Officer to the CPWHC (Chartered Physiotherapists in Womens Health and Continence), a post which she retired after a full tenure.
Sarah is also an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist, predominantly working with children and families experiencing orthopaedic conditions such as Plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome), Torticollis, Talipes, Fractures, Ligament Injuries, and Foot abnormalities that may need orthotics.
Sarah is a qualified Stott Pilates instructor, and both teaches and co-ordinates our Pilates programs, including our Ante-natal, and Post-natal mum and baby exercise classes.

Samantha Klus
M.I.S.C.P. BSc Physiotherapy
Samantha was born and raised in Canada where she obtained a degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. She then moved to Ireland to persue a Masters of Physiotherapy degree at University College Dublin where she gained valuable knowledge in a vast array of clinical settings. She is experienced in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries.
Samantha has a passion for health promotion and injury prevention. As a former internationally competitive triathlete, Samantha has a keen interest in assessing and treating sports-related injuries. Samantha uses a combination of exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy, and education in her treatments. She is registered as a Certified Exercise Physiologist under the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and holds a certification for dry needling.

Niamh Allen
M.I.S.C.P. BSc Physiotherapy
Niamh graduated from University College Dublin in 2014 with a degree in Physiotherapy. Having grown up in Dublin, she decided to move to the UK to kick start her career in private practice. Here, she spent over 7 years building her experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Niamh enjoys treating clients of all ages. She has gained qualificatons in Acupuncture and Pilates and has developed a special interest in treating those with chronic pain conditions and running injuries. She uses a combination of hands on manual therapy and acupuncture alongside education, and active rehabilitation to help her patients achieve their goals.
Niamh decided to return home and joined the team in Dun Laoghaire Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 2022, to be closer to family, friends and the sea! In her spare time, Niamh enjoys running and swimming and attending live sporting events.

Niamh Rafter
M.I.S.C.P. BSc Physiotherapy
Niamh completed her undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy in The University College Dublin, graduating in 2017. She spent two years working in Ireland, both in the HSE and at Dun Laoghaire Physiotherapy before moving to Sydney, Australia.
In Australia, she worked full time in a private clinic and developed a keen interest in Pilates, exercise rehabilitation and management of chronic injuries. She taught reformer and equipment based Pilates classes, and developed clinical interests in spinal and lower limb pain. She spent her remaining time in Australia working in community geriatrics and post-operative spinal surgery rehabilitation (hospital and clinic based).
Niamh is a registered member of the I.S.C.P and currently works part-time in Dun Laoghaire Physiotherapy alongside completing Graduate Entry Medicine Studies. She is a qualified clinical Pilates instructor, having completed her training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. She has undertaken the following courses: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Matwork Pilates, Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Pilates for Hypermobility and Pilates for Scoliosis. She has completed qualifications in Medical Acupuncture and Dry Needling and uses these alongside manual therapy in her clinical practice.
In her spare time she enjoys yoga and attending the gym or getting out for a cycle on the bike.
